In installing the Conveyancing Quotation System, includes a review of your present use of the Tikit CMS and free recommendations for areas where there could be improvements.
Should your firm decide to go ahead with the full Conveyancing Module, then the price of the Quotations System will be refunded against the price of the full module.
Free initial meeting
Terms –
The normal daily rate is £560 per day plus travel (which is billed at HMRC rates against mileage incurred) and any accommodation costs plus £25 for overnight expenses to be billed to Law Firm at cost.
The discounted daily rate of £490 is available where the Law Firm pre-books support and ‘contracts’ to have a ‘retainer’ arrangement in place whereby the Contractor is contracted to provide a minimum of 3 days per month case management technical IT support to include where required any training on the case management system for the Law Firm. The discounted daily rate also applies where Law Firms are having work undertaken under a fixed fee contract and additional work is then identified and agreed between the parties. The discounted daily rate does not include travel (which is billed at HMRC rates against mileage incurred) and any accommodation costs plus £25 for overnight expenses to be billed to Law Firm at cost.
Where such a ‘retainer’ exists either party must give a minimum of 1 calendar months’ notice to terminate the arrangement, notwithstanding the rights and responsibilities which may exist at that time between the parties.
For fixed fee and Module Fixed Prices the following applies:
Where a Module is purchased the Module price includes a fixed number of consultancy days, which may be on or off site and may run consecutively or be spread out over a period by agreement with the law firm.
50% fees payable in advance and due on reserving the work from The Legal Shop. A further 25% due when the work is substantially complete, the remaining 25% due on mutual agreement and in any event to the reasonable satisfaction of the Law Firm against the specification as contained above or varied as mutually agreed.
– Where the letters, documents, tasks and workflow/screens are effectively substituted for alternatives specific to the Law Firm then such changes will be dealt with as variations and accommodated within the overall contractual price, where additional consultancy time remains within the original time budgeted see below.
– Where such variations exceed the basic offering from the specification above then such additional work will be charged (such work to be agreed beforehand where a variation is identified between The Legal Shop and the Law Firm) against the discounted daily rate, as defined below.
– Note: The above is dependent upon feedback from the respective departments providing timely responses to questions raised and providing information where reasonably requested within a reasonable timeframe. The Legal Shop will liaise with the the Law Firm where it is thought that difficulties may be arising in the obtaining of information, the Law Firm agrees to provide assistance in such instances where reasonably requested. Where feedback and information is not provided, The Legal Shop reserve the right to charge for additional time based on the discounted rate of £490 per day, or part thereof based on a 7-hour day. Such fees to be agreed between the parties before they are incurred. Where the Law Firm does not provide such assistance and/or there is a breakdown in communication between the parties then the Contractor will expect to be reimbursed against the discounted daily rate for any additional work already identified and delivered to the Law Firm which is in excess of the first 50% of the contractual work due. As a minimum the Law Firm would therefore be liable for 50% of the fixed fee price (and any other agreed work), unless The Legal Shop is shown to be at fault and has failed to deliver anything to the Law Firm, in which case the Law Firm will be entitled to a refund of all fees paid.
– Ten days consultancy either on or off site is factored in to the fixed price, additional time on site would be based on the remaining amount of time available within the fixed part of the contract, so may be absorbed within the contract price, however travel and accommodation would be chargeable at cost.

The above is assuming that a remote connection will be provided (at the Law Firm’s cost from their IT support or department) with full access at administrator level to the Tikit system (any licence requirements and fees thereon to be at the Law Firm’s expense, which would include any costs for use of MS Office products or other proprietary software requirements).
It is assumed that the majority of the work can be undertaken at the contractor’s premises, subject to previous comments re on-site working above.
The Contractor has in place a Professional Indemnity Insurance at all times and will furnish the Law Firm a copy of the same on request.
Variations to the above can be made subject to negotiation and prior written agreement.
